Scandia Technologies, a division of L-3 Communications, is a proven high volume manufacturer of precision machined parts, a custom designer and integrator of electrical control systems, and a fabricator of electromechanical assemblies.

Established in 1985, the company has become a leader in delivering manufacturing solutions and innovative technologies for a wide variety of commercial, industrial, municipal and military applications. Manufacturing operations are located in Largo, Florida, within a 46,000 square foot climate controlled facility.

Precision Machining
Scandia Technologies supplies various high volume precision machined components for military fuse programs and industrial manufacturers.

Prototype parts and low volume production needs are supported through work cells dedicated to meeting the time sensitive demands of product development.

Electrical Control Systems
Scandia Technologies custom designs and fabricates instrumentation and electrical control systems. This includes PLC, OI, SCADA, and wireless telemetry communication systems to meet municipal and industrial specifications.

Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) installations range from drawbridge controls over waterways, to updates on the Sunshine Skyway Bridge over Tampa Bay.

Municipal projects include control systems for water and wastewater treatment plants in Orlando, Winter Haven, Tampa and Tarpon Springs, among others.

Industrial applications include PC based automated QC test stations for Caterpillar hydraulic pumps produced by Parker Hannifin.

Scandia Technologies is certified as an Underwriter's Laboratory 508A control panel manufacturer.

Electromechanical Assembly
Assembly and fabrication skills are used to manufacture electronic and mechanical products.
